I've been kicking myself in the pants for the last couple of months. I'm supposed to have gone for my annual check-up at the dentist. The last time I let it slide, I really, really regretted it. My mouth and my bank balance left in pain.
It's just that, well, I can think of so many better ways to spend a couple of hundred bucks! I mean, I floss and brush every day – so what's the big deal? This month I splurged my pearly white allowance on lunch at The Greenhouse at The Cellars-Hohenhort – I tell you, it was worth every potential cavity. (Okay, all inappropriate references to my dental health shall cease right ... now).
To start: a sublime Belgian endive salad with caremelised pecan nuts, gorgonzola dressing and apple slices. See?
Then, grilled yellow fin tuna with Mediterranean vegetables and artichoke vinaigrette. See?
The starter was R75. The main, R130. Don't ask about the wine.
I have no regrets...

I wouldn't have any regrets, either! Holy cow...that mediterranean vegetable plate is gorgeous! Happy New Year :)
